Security guard shot in Vanderbijlpark heist
A security guard was shot and wounded during a cash-in-transit heist in Vanderbiljpark on Thursday morning.
ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring says paramedics arrived on the scene to find the wrecked armoured vehicle in the middle of the road with debris spread across the scene.

"Medics assessed the four security members on the scene and found that only one had sustained a gunshot wound to his ankle.
"The other three men, fortunately, escaped injury.
"The man was treated for his injury and provided with pain-relief medication before he was transported to a nearby hospital for further care," Meiring said.
Police were on the scene.
The amount of money stolen is not known.
