Forecaster Edward Engelbrecht says there is a possibility of heavy rains in Gauteng over the course of the weekend, which could result in flooding.
“We have severe thunderstorms that may lead to heavy rainfall and then localised flooding.
“It will be heavy rain in a short amount of time if the thunderstorm moves over but then for tomorrow (Thursday) going into Friday, we do have the possibility of heavy rain that can result in localised and flash flooding that is going to lead to continuous rain from tomorrow afternoon into the evening. “
Temperatures could also slightly drop on Friday as a result of cloudy conditions and rains.
