Shops in Pretoria CBD close their doors

Protests erupted across Tshwane last night - from Mamelodi in the east, to Atteridgeville in the west and Hammanskraal in the north.

 

Residents are angry over the decision by the ANC to nominate Thoko Didiza as its mayoral candidate and ousting current Mayor Kgosientso 'Sputla' Ramakgopa after the local elections - in six weeks' time.
