State Capture Commission invites Molefe to attend proceedings
Updated | By Neo Motloung
The Judicial Commission of Inquiry into allegations of State Capture, Corruption and Fraud in the Public Sector including organs of State, has invited former Eskom CEO Brian Molefe to attend the public hearings that kick off in Parktown on Monday.
The Inquiry notified Molefe that his name is expected to be mentioned in the testimony by Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan.
Gordhan has been scheduled to be sworn in at 10 am to start his much-anticipated testimony about his experience of state capture and incidents since his first stint as Finance Minister.
"Due to the fact that you are or may be implicated by the evidence of Mr Gordhan, you are entitled to attend the hearing at which that evidence would be presented," the Commission said in a written communication to Molefe.
The commission also said a legal representative could assist Molefe.
