The family of 66-year-old Ellen Mbele has lashed out at the reporting around the death of the Pimville resident.
Mbele was one of three elderly grant recipients who died while receiving their social grants on Monday.
Recipients have been receiving their grants early this month amid the coronavirus crisis.

Speaking outside her Soweto home on Tuesday, Mbele’s niece Phumzile Kheswa said her aunt had high blood pressure and collapsed before she got to the social grant pay point.
"When she collapsed she had not reached the pay point and was not in the queue as many have said."
Khweza pleaded with the public to stop sharing pictures of Mbele's lifeless body, saying it only adds more pain to an already grief-stricken family.

"Even though this thing happened outside the parameters of government, we still feel obligated to contribute to the funeral arrangement. We thank our social partners who have come out to said they will cover the three funerals that have occurred across the country."
Mbele will be buried on Friday under strict lockdown regulations
