Suspect arrested for Eersterust woman’s murder
Police in Gauteng have arrested a 50-year-old suspect in connection with the murder of a woman in Eersterust, in the east of Tshwane.
The arrest comes after police pleaded with the victim’s boyfriend to contact local authorities on Sunday as he was allegedly the last person to see the woman alive.

The 42-year-old woman was murdered and discovered in her outside room on Sunday morning.
Police spokesperson Kay Makhubela says the suspect will appear in Pretoria Magistrate’s Court in due course.
"Detectives, crime prevention and a Tshwane district task team followed the information of where suspect fled in Eldoradopark to hide. Police traced the suspect yesterday he was not found.
"Today.. the team got information about the suspect's whereabouts. They proceeded to Eldorado Park, where a 50-year-old suspect was arrested. "
