Swellendam father stabs 16-month-old daughter to death
A 33-year-old man has been arrested for stabbing and killing his 16-month-old daughter on a farm in Swellendam in the Western Cape.
The father stabbed his infant daughter following an altercation with the child's mother.
Southern Cape police spokesperson Malcolm Pojie says the child died of cuts and stab wounds to her neck and chest.

“The mother who, is 24-years-old, sustained only minor injuries.
“The father of the deceased was duly arrested and will be facing a charge of murder.”
The man is expected to appear in court on Monday.
