Taxi driver shot dead in Centurion
A taxi driver has been shot dead in Centurion this afternoon.
ER24 says the man had been shot and killed in an apparent shootout at the Hendrik Verwoerd Drive and Old Johannesburg Road intersection.
"When ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene, they found a man lying on the grass a few metres away from his taxi. He had sustained gunshot wounds to his chest and head," says ER24's Russel Meiring.
He was already dead before paramedics arrived on scene.

Meiring adds: "No other injuries or fatalities were found on the scene."
The motive for the shooting is unclear at this stage but police were on scene to investigate.
Police were not immediately available for comment.
