Thabo Mbeki launches new book
Former president Thabo Mbeki launched his new book 'The Thabo Mbeki I Know' on Friday night.
The book celebrates Mbeki's life and evaluates his legacy.
Edited by Miranda Strydom and Sifiso Mxolisi Ndlovu, the book provides readers with an opportunity to reassess Mbeki's contribution to South Africa as deputy president and president post-1994.
'The Thabo Mbeki I Know' also examines Mbeki's role on the African continent and diaspora, as a highly respected state leader and to the international community at large.
Mbeki addressed the crowd. He said he's witnessed a loss of respect for South Africa during his recent travels through Africa.
