Thirty villages without water in Limpopo
Updated | By Neo Motloung
The taps are dry and the lights are off across a vast area of the Vhembe District in Limpopo, where residents of more to 30 villages have been without water and electricity for almost two days.
The areas include villages inMadonsi, Mhinga, Shikundu, Ntlhaveni and Giant reefs.
Vhembe District spokesperson Moses Shibambu says this is due to an electrical problem at the Malamulele Water Works.
Shibambu says the plant is experiencing a water shortage.
"Eskom is still fixing the cable which burned yesterday and affected a lot of villages," says Shibambu.
He hopes that the water supply will be fully restored by midday on Wedensday.
