Three bodies found in burnt-out car in Benoni
Police are investigating after three bodies were found in a burnt-out car in Benoni on the East Rand. The vehicle was riddled with bullet holes.
The police's Lungelo Dlamini says they received a tip-off from a member of the public.
"Two bodies were burnt beyond recognition, and the other body was identified at the scene. We do not know what the motive for the murders are," Dlamini said.
"It appears as if the car was shot before those in the car died and the car burnt. But we don't know when that happened."
Police have appealed to anyone with information to come forward.
