Three children killed in Brakpan blaze

Three children were killed when a deserted building caught
fire in Brakpan on Friday night.
Ekhuruleni emergency services spokesperson William Ntladi says the building was completely engulfed in flames, but firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze.
"We had to do search and rescue underneath the rubble. We found three children aged seven, six and three respectively," Ntladi says.

The children were burned beyond recognition.
Ntladi says the children were alone in the building at the time of the fire and police are now investigating.
The cause of the fire is not known.
