Three suspects arrested, two at large following Germiston shooting

Three suspects have been arrested and two are still at large following a shootout with police in Germiston, east of Johannesburg, on Friday afternoon.
Gauteng police spokesperson, Kay Makhubela says a shootout ensued after five suspects attempted to rob a shop in the Eastgate Mall.
"When they were in their vehicle they were chased by police where they started shooting at the police and the police returned fire. They cornered the suspects in parking where they arrested three suspects,”

During the arrest two unlicensed firearms were recovered.
A case of attempted murder, possession of unlicensed firearms, and a case relating to the getaway vehicle (which was stolen) are being investigated.
The suspects will appear in the Germiston Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
