‘That thug won’t survive,’ says Shivambu as EFF plans motion of no confidence against Ramaphosa

The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) is set to table a motion of no confidence against President Cyril Ramaphosa.
The EFF caucus in Parliament wants to remove Ramaphosa through a motion of no confidence over the Phala Phala-scandal.
Chief whip Floyd Shivambu confirmed their intention at a lecture commemorating the struggle icon Chris Hani on Wednesday.
He told supporters in Sabalele Village in the Eastern Cape that “we’ve got a thug, a conman, a trickster – who is leading this country with millions of dollars hidden under mattresses.”
“I can tell you now that when we go back to parliament and put the motion of no confidence there, Ramaphosa will not come back alive from there. He will not be a President.

“It will even be better if we remove him through a motion of no confidence because when we remove you through a motion of no confidence, we cancel your pension, we cancel the policy, we cancel everything that you had as a president.”
$4 million was allegedly stolen at Ramaphosa’s Phala-Phala farm in Limpopo about two years ago.
Ramaphosa has denied any criminality after it emerged that he had never reported the robbery to police.
Former spy boss Arthur Fraser has laid criminal charges against Ramaphosa over the matter.
“We will even delete his name as a former President of South Africa. We’ll just say from 2018-2022 there was a vacancy, there was no President because we have got a thug that is running this country.”
