Thursday to bring first summer storms for Gauteng

"The seasonal forecasting says the rainfall will remain practically normal," says Phakula, adding "it means we might not experience drought."
The first thunderstorms of summer are expected in Gauteng on Thursday.
The SA Weather Service's Venetia Phakula says temperatures will drop slightly on Friday following the rain.
"So far it looks like the possibility (of thunderstorms )is a very good one," says Phakula.
She says it is still too soon to say whether the summer rainfall season will be a good one.
"The seasonal forecasting says the rainfall will remain practically normal," says Phakula, adding "it means we might not experience drought."
