TIMELINE: The life of Zola Skweyiya

The late African National Congress (ANC) stalwart Zola
Skweyiya joined the organization in 1965.
In 1963, Skweyiya left the country to join Umkhonto we Sizwe in Tanzania.
Skweyiya joined parliament in 1994. He served as of Minister of Public Service and Administration from 1994 to 1999. From 1999 to 2009 Skweyiya served as Minister of Social Development.
He passed away on 11 April 2018; three days shy of his 76th birthday.
