Tree trimming will leave parts of Centurion in the dark
Updated | By Neo Motloung
Residents in Centurion will experience electricity outages
for close to eight hours on Thursday, as the City of Tshwane is expected to cut
tree branches around overhead power lines.

This is said to have caused recent power cuts.
City of Tshwane spokesperson, Lindela Mashigo, says the organised power outage is to address the regular electricity cuts in the southwestern parts of the Metro.
"The emergency tree trimming will require the City's Region 4 electricity section time to cautiously cut off trees and repair or adjust the powerlines," says Mashigo.
He adds electricity is expected to be switched off from 8 am to in the Centurion suburbs, including nearby Erasmia and Christoberg.
