Truck attack leaves driver injured

A brazen attack on five trucks the R59 near Alberton in Gauteng has left at least one driver injured.
The five trucks were set alight on Thursday night.
Police spokesperson Brenda Muridili says the drivers were forced to stop when they saw three big branches on the road.

She says an unconfirmed number of suspects then attacked the trucks and threw petrol bombs.
Investigations into the matter are underway and no arrests have been made yet.
It is the latest in a wave of attacks on trucks in Gauteng.
