Postmortems reveal Tshuma family died from blunt force trauma
Updated | By Bulletin and JacarandaFM Newswatch
Forensic postmortems have confirmed that the wife and daughters of a Zimbabwean-British citizen who were murdered in England died from blunt force trauma.
The bodies of Nothabo, Natalie and Nala Tshuma were found at their home in Bedfordshire last Monday.
Nothabo’s husband, Ndodana, was arrested in Johannesburg on Friday after he fled Britain.
He remains in custody after appearing in the local Magistrate's Court, charged with illegal firearm possession, while extradition proceedings to the UK are considered.
"The court must first determine whether he is extraditable, after which the Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development will issue an extradition order," said National Police spokesperson Athlenda Mathe.
The matter was postponed until 22 July to allow authorities time to determine Tshuma's immigration status in the country.
