Tshwane bus services grind to a halt amid strike action

All Tshwane Rapid Transit (TRT) services, known as the Areyeng bus services, have been suspended.
This as the National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (Numsa) embarked on a strike at the bus service.
On Monday, the City of Tshwane said that only the Mamelodi bus service would be affected by the strike.
However, on Tuesday morning, they confirmed on Twitter that all their services have been suspended.

Numsa is demanding that all workers, especially 64 fixed-term contractors, must receive the same benefits and conditions as those who are permanent.
