Tshwane protests leaves commuters stranded
Updated | By Sibahle Motha
A service delivery protest has brought public transport in Mabopane, Soshanguve and Winterveld to a standstill this morning.
Residents are complaining over high water bills and a lack of service delivery from the City of Tshwane.
Police spokesperson Mathews Nkoadi says residents are blocking roads leading into town, especially at the different intersections.
"Aubrey Matlala up to the R80 to the Mabopane Highway. People cannot go out of Mabopane because of burning tyres laying on the roads."
Nkoadi says police are monitoring the situation.
