Tupperware ‘thief’ appears in Northern Cape court

A 25-year-old man accused of breaking into business premises three times and stealing Tupperware sets is expected to appear in the Upington Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
”Detectives arrested the man for allegedly breaking into the same business premises in Yorks Street three times in the last three months,” said police spokeswoman Colonel Priscilla Naidu.
”It is alleged that the suspect broke into the premises and stole Tupperware, the business sells Tupperware and chemicals.”
Naidu said the man’s latest break-in apparently took place on the July 1. He was captured on surveillance cameras allegedly grabbing the home products.
An investigation led to his arrest on Friday.
”Tupperware valued at R19,000 was confiscated from three separate houses in the vicinity. It is alleged that the suspect sold the products to the residents,” said Naidu.
He faces charges of breaking into business premises and theft. -ANA
