Twitter's hilarious, frustrating reaction to 280 character limit
Updated | By Jacaranda FM news
Twitter is running a trial that lets users express their thoughts in 280 characters.
That's double the usual 140 characters.
Twitter users who were selected by Twitter to be a part of the pilot run, have reacted hilariously and some with a bit of frustration!
Oh shit I was selected as one of the special ones to tweet in 280 characters. HAHAHA suck it losers, I feel like God right now. Wait, I'm not done, I would also like to say that all these words I'm typing right now are useless and I wasted them just because I CAN. These too, lmao

If there is one thing I've learned, it's that they only select the best Twitter accounts. I mean the very best. Not just an average one. The best. And we have the best. And now I feel like I sound like Donald Trump. So I'm going to stop now. pic.twitter.com/QoS0Lci7kR

Im not sure how many characters I’m gonna use with this tweet but it seems like it’s over the usual 140 limit. It was honestly far better with fewer characters cos you made your point quickly. Now we just waffle to fill up characters. How now brown cow. Purple unicorns.

small brain: awkwardly cutting your tweets down to 140 characters
— Ash 🐺 (@_Ninji) September 26, 2017
medium brain: threading your tweets
big brain: taking a screenshot of your oversized tweet and tweeting that
exploding brain: reverse-engineering to forcibly enable Twitter's just-announced 280 character expansion
The increase in characters is a part of Twitter's latest effort to boost weakening growth on the microblogging social network.
Not all twitteratis have welcomed the proposed 280 twitter characters.
Some insist they would have preferred an edit option.

Inner Twitter: Give them #280characters so they make more typos pic.twitter.com/gfLSF8ZrtL
Twitter: Tell us what you want!

Users: An EDIT button.
Twitter: We hear you loud & clear. Here's 280 characters to make twice the typos! https://t.co/KYabyJnWx3
