Updated | By Anastasi Mokgobu
Two dogs have been killed in a house fire in the Brooklyn area of Tshwane.
Emergency service arrived at the burning house in the early hours of Thursday morning following reports of a fire in the area.
Paramedics managed to rescue two people from the blaze.
But Emer-G-Med-spokesperson Kyle Van Reenen says the dogs were declared dead on the scene.
“Reports from the scene are that two patients were treated and stabilised on the scene for smoke inhalation, before being taken to a nearby hospital for further care.
“The family pets, two dogs, were rescued by the Tswane Fire Department, however on further assessment, both pets were found to have sustained fatal injuries and were declared dead on the scene,” says Van Reenen.
The cause of the fire is still unknown
