Gauteng police have arrested two more suspects in connection with the murder of two uMkhonto we Sizwe party members at Katlehong in Ekurhuleni.
The two were shot and killed on Sunday evening during what is believed to have been a dispute with ANC members.
Gauteng police spokesperson Brenda Muridili said one victim died on the scene, while the other was declared dead on arrival at the hospital.
She said this brings the total number of arrests to three.
"One firearm and a knife were recovered on the scene. The motive for the incident will form part of the investigations.
"The case of two counts involving of murder has been allocated to the Provincial Serious and Violent Crimes Investigation.”
The suspects will appear in the Palmridge Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, UMkhonto Wesizwe Party has confirmed that the victims were its members.
MK Party spokesperson Nhlamulo Ndlela said the altercation was apparently due to road rage.
"The question is were they shot by virtue of political intolerance or what is the actual cause?
"The feedback we getting is that it might be an issue of road rage with people believed to be ANC members."
