Two nabbed for Cresta Mall robbery, hijacking

Two suspects have been arrested for a robbery and hijacking at Cresta Mall, north of Johannesburg on Tuesday.
Gauteng police’s Kay Makhubele says four suspects hijacked a car in the parking lot of the popular shopping mall.
“On their way out they robbed a couple of their cell phones and other items.

“Just before the suspects exited the mall, they were met by the police and security guards where a shootout occurred. One suspect was shot and taken to hospital, he is under police guard, and another suspect was arrested.”
Police are still searching for two other suspects who are believed to have escaped in an Uber.
The suspects will appear in the Randburg Magistrate’s Court soon.
