Two police officers are in trouble after allegedly assaulting
two men with a sjambok in Worcester in Western Cape.
The police says the incident happened on Monday after a video circulating showed two officers assaulting the two men.
Western Cape police spokesperson Novela Potelwa says they have opened an investigation into the matter.

“An investigation into a conduct of police officials from Worcester captured in a video slapping and sjamboking two men is underway.
“The South African Police Service national instruction on the handling of individuals by police officials for assaulting individuals or suspects. Part of the investigation is to identify and interview the two men in the video and once finalised, the outcome of the probe will be known,” adds Potelwa.
