Two pupils killed in taxi crash

Two school children died in a taxi accident in
Olifantsfontein on the East Rand on Monday morning.
Spokesperson for the Gauteng Department of Education, Steve Mabona, says the taxi was transporting learners.
Mabona says close to 21 learners were in the taxi and 16 were taken to Tembisa Hospital.
The details of the incident remain under investigation.
Gauteng Education MEC, Panyaza Lesufi, is expected to visit the scene.

Meanwhile ER24 spokesperson, Russel Meiring, says the motorcycle driver also died at the scene.
He adds the body of the motorcycle driver and the two deceased school children were found in the back of the taxi.
