Umalusi confirms matric exam results announced on 12 January

Quality assurance body Umalusi has confirmed that the staggered marking of the National Senior Certificate exam papers, which began on November 18, will conclude on December 18.
Umalusi head Mafu Rakometsi says marks will be captured until the fifth of next month, and the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations will review examination management.
He says that Basic Education Minister Siviwe Gwarube will announce the outcomes on January 12.
“The goal…of the processes is to ensure that the examinations are conducted and managed in accordance with the prescripts of the regulations that govern the national assessment, ensuring the highest credibility and integrity of the Umalusi certificate.”
More than 920,000 full-time and part-time candidates sat for their final exams across approximately 6,800 centres nationwide.
