[WATCH] ANC factional battles none of your business - Ramaphosa hits back at 'meddling' opposition parties
Updated | By Nokukhanya N Mntambo
President Cyril Ramaphosa has slammed opposition parties for meddling in party politics.
Ramaphosa hit back at members of Parliament wanting to know his future in the African National Congress (ANC).
He faced a barrage of tough questions in the National Assembly, where gave an update on the progress with the country's Covid-19 vaccination programme, the country's economic recovery and efforts to end gender-based violence.
Proceedings got off to a rough start when Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) chief whip Floyd Shivambu rose on a point of order - challenging Ramaphosa's appearance before the house, despite claims that he had been suspended from the governing party.

Democratic Aliance (DA) leader John Steenhuisen also took a jab at Ramaphosa.
He accused Ramaphosa of being consumed by factional battels, at the expense of the country.
"The question is 'do you really care?' Because you're so caught up the internal battle in the ANC while this pandemic rages across South Africa. You said you didn't want to be seen as a weak president, you said you didn't want to disappoint the ANC but you've done both successfully, so well done on that.
"You're busy waging a factional war while a third wave looms in South Africa.
"Now before you bang on about vaccine imperialism again, let me tell you that South Africa's current ranking for vaccines administered is 33 - that's 33rd not in the world, that's the 33rd in Africa.
Ramaphosa told MPs that the infighting in the ANC was none of their business.
"I'm just wondering what Mr Steenhuisen ate at lunch because it seems he's a very angry young man.
"But let me just say, without going through the waffle of factional battles that have nothing to do with you. When you were involved in your own battles in the Democratic Alliance, you never heard a single one of us say anything - we did not comment because it's not our space. What happens in the Democratic Alliance is your business.
"What is happening in the ANC is also not your business; it is our business."
