Springbok captain, Siya Kolisi, and tennis champion, Roger Federer, faced off in a friendly tennis match in Cape Town on Thursday.
The 20 Grand Slam champion is in the country for Friday evening's most anticipated tennis match of the year, dubbed The Match in Africa.
He will play tennis rival Rafael Nadal at the Cape Town Stadium.
The charity tennis match is hosted by the Roger Federer Foundation and this is the first edition of the event to be played in Africa.
The two tennis players hope to break the world record for a match watched by the biggest crowd - when they play in front of an audience of more than 50 000 fans at the stadium, originally built for the 2010 FIFA Soccer World Cup.
Federer told the media earlier in the week that he is looking forward to playing for the first in South African; however, he added that the match is going to be emotional as he has always wanted to play in the country.
But before that - Federer had to square up against South African hero, Kolisi.
He posted the video of their match on his Twitter account - adding it was a pleasure to welcome the "true sporting icon" to the Mother City.
