WATCH: Mayhem as police arrest 35 at Durban protest
Updated | By ECR News
Police in KwaZulu-Natal have arrested 35 people at a protest organised by local music artists on the N3 in Durban.

The artists - as well as others involved in putting together live events - have brought traffic to a halt near Spaghetti Junction.
They are demanding that events be allowed a 70% crowd capacity.
"I can confirm there are 35 who have been arrested, six vehicles and two trucks have been impounded," says eThekwini metro police spokesperson Parbhoo Sewpersad.
The artists told ECR Newswatch they're battling to cover their expenses under the current regulations, which only allow up to 50 people in a venue.
Earlier police fired rubber bullets and stun grenades to disperse the crowd.

Dear Mr @CyrilRamaphosa you seem not to care about the arts 🎭 industry! We have not been catered for during this lockdown! If guns and teargas is the only way you handle our hunger than so be it! We are tired of being ostracized. Please open the country! #VulaPresident pic.twitter.com/95XQDUAGnk
