[WATCH] UKZN student’s murder case postponed

The murder case against a 25-year-old University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) student has been postponed.
Khayelihle Nzimande, who is accused of murdering his roommate, appeared in the Pinetown Magistrates Court on Monday.
Police found the burnt remains of Samkelo Zondi - a fourth-year BCom student - on the varsity's Westville campus at the weekend.

Zondi was reported missing by UKZN's Risk Management Services on Friday.
Nzimande was allegedly caught while burning the body in the bushes on Saturday evening.
In the video that's been widely circulated, the accused is being questioned by campus security about the incident.
The suspect said he doused his roommate with paraffin and set him alight, describing him as a zombie that should not be buried.

Nzimande will remain in custody for further investigations for his bail application - which include verification of address and medical examination.
The case has been remanded until October 21 for a formal bail application.
