[WATCH] Woman attempts to snatch boy (3) in Sasolburg

Police in the Free State are investigating a case of child trafficking after a woman attempted to snatch a 3-year-old boy in a grocery store in Sasolburg.
In a video, which has been widely circulated on social media, the woman can be seen grabbing the young child while he was playing on steel railings in a shop.
The woman attempts to leave the mall with the young boy, but the mother catches up with them and takes her child back.
Police spokesperson Sam Makhele says police received the complaint last week Friday.

"The complainant ran to the African lady. She thought the African lady was joking when the complainant asked her what she was doing. The African lady replied that she is leaving the store with her child. She grabbed her son from her hands."

A 24 year old woman has since been arrested by police and is expected to appear in court on Wednesday.
