WEATHER: Another intense cold front expected

The South African Weather Service has issued a warning of extremely high fire conditions expected over the northern and central parts of the Eastern Cape.

An intense cold front is also expected to affect the Western Cape. 


The public and small stock farmers are advised that very cold conditions over the southern high-ground of the Northern Cape, strong interior winds over the Western Cape, Eastern Cape, southern Northern Cape and south-western Free State. 


Gauteng: Morning frost in places, otherwise fine and cool.

Mpumalanga: Warm to hot in the Lowveld, otherwise fine and cool.

Limpopo: Cool in places over the interior, otherwise fine and warm

Free State: Fine and cool but windy in the south-west

Northern Cape: Cloudy in the extreme south-west with isolated showers and rain, otherwise partly cloudy and cold to cool but fine in the north-east. 


Kimberley: 04 / 22


Western Cape: Cloudy and cold to cool and windy with widespread showers and rain in the south-west, otherwise scattered but isolated in the extreme north. 


Cape Town: 11 / 14


Eastern Cape: Fine and cool and windy but warm in places in the north and east.



Port Elizabeth: 13 / 20


KwaZulu-Natal: Warm in the east, otherwise fine and cool becoming partly cloudy in the south-east from late evening.
