A woman will appear in the Mitchells Plain Magistrate’s Court, Cape Town on Friday after she was allegedly found in possession of about 70kg of dagga, police said.
Colonel Tembinkosi Kinana said the suspect, 42, was arrested on Wednesday when the police’s tactical response team raided a property in Tafelsig, after receiving information from the community about suspected drug dealing occurring on the premises.
“The TRT, which was busy with crime prevention duties, received information from the community about drug dealing and upon searching the premises they found large bags filled with dagga in a locked room,” Kinana said in a statement.
