Woman found dead near Olievenhoutbosch
The body of a woman with stab wounds was discovered along the R55 near Olievenhoutbosch, Johannesburg, on Monday, Gauteng police said.
"Members found the half-naked body lying in the bushes with visible stab wounds on her throat. A passer-by had alerted the police," spokesman Constable Tumisang Moloto said.
The woman was believed to be between 20 and 25.
"The motive behind the killing is unknown and the deceased was not yet identified; the police are not excluding possibilities that the deceased might have been raped."
The body was taken for a post mortem examination. No arrests had yet been made.
