According to Die Burger, Yengeni reportedly spent the night in police cells after being arrested at 6pm on Sunday in Cape Town.
He was reportedly driving a Maserati.
He was seen leaving the police station on Monday morning after being released on bail of R500.
Captain Frederick van Wyk of the Western Cape police confirmed the arrest. "Metro Police members arrested a 58 year male for drunken driving , on the corner of Somerset and Dixion Road, Cape Town Central on Sunday Evening" he said.
Yengeni was detained at Cape Town Central Police Station for the duration of the night and released on bail on Monday morning.
He is due to make a court appearance at Cape Town Magistrate Court, on 4th March 2014.
Yengeni was also arrested for drunken driving in Goodwood, Cape Town, in November 2007.
