Young SA pilot killed in Namibian plane crash

A young South African pilot has been killed in a plane crash in Namibia.
Nicole Mienie and four German tourists died in an aircraft crash on Tuesday.
The Namibian police have identified the victims of the horror crash on Impalila island.
The youngest victim is 17-years-old.
The county’s Civil Aviation Authority has confirmed to JacaNews that the plane crashed a few minutes after taking off from Impalila airport along the Zambezi riverbank.

The four passengers were en route to Rundu in northern Namibia.
The plane, a Cessna 210 aircraft, crashed into the Zambezi River.
Mienie moved to Windhoek earlier this year after she qualified as a commercial pilot in March 2021.
