The South African ambassador to Denmark, Zindzi Mandela, says as a loyal member of the African National Congress (ANC), she is heartbroken that former president FW De Klerk was allowed to stay and listen to the State of the Nation Address on Thursday evening.
Mandela tweeted on Friday morning that her mother, Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, and others suffered at the hands of the apartheid police while De Klerk was president.
As a loyal and dedicated member of @MYANC I am heartbroken💔this happened to my Mother and many others under De Klerk's watch. According to his interview, he justified this, therefore saying that that my Mother and others deserved this aggression. What do we stand for? pic.twitter.com/wN0dPorOQ2
