Zondo commission 'a cleansing process’, says Ramaphosa

President Cyril Ramaphosa has
described the commission of inquiry into state capture as a "cleansing
process" for the country.

Ramaphosa was addressing the media with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier at Tuynhuys on Tuesday.
The president said the commission will cleanse the country of all the bad things that have happened over the past few years.
"And we wish commission very well in its endeavours and its work as it cleanses South Africa and brings to the fore the truth of what happened in the past.
This is what South Africans would like to see and, I guess, the international community are also looking at this commission doing precisely that."

Ramaphosa said as soon as he receives the report from the commission’s chair, Deputy Chief Justice Raymond Zondo, he will act on the recommendations.
"So let us allow this process the commission to continue until the report comes forward.”
