Zuma recall not on ANC agenda: Mantashe
Updated | By Suné du Toit
African National Congress (ANC) secretary general Gwede Manstashe says the removal of President Jacob Zuma is not on the agenda at the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting.

"We have not seen that blood on the floor yet. Discussions are about to start and unfold, but we have not seen it. It is not an agenda item," says Mantashe.
Zuma's position as party leader could come under scrutiny as the meeting comes ahead of the motion of no confidence in the President in Parliament and an intense debate around the issue of state capture.
ANC veterans have also written an open letter to the party, calling for the president's removal.
Mantashe says the letter is in the public domain, but also not on the agenda.
"When you send an open letter, it's not a correspondence to the ANC. It's an open letter to the public. What you can do at best, you can regard it as lobbying individuals members of the NEC, who must download the letter and use it in the discussion, but it is not an agenda item here."
