Zuma: Those who called for state capture inquiry will regret it

President Jacob Zuma says those who are calling for the establishment of the judicial commission of inquiry into allegations of state capture will regret it.
He was answering questions in the National Assembly on Thursday - his last question and answer session for 2017.
"There has been too much talk about corruption. Even those who are the most corrupt, they point fingers to others that they are corrupt. The truth will be found," Zuma says.
He says a commission of inquiry will be established immediately after the judgement of his review of the Public Protector's remedial actions on state of capture is handed down.
"Those who are calling for it are going to regret," Zuma says.
He also says allegations, that he has been receiving R1 million a month during his tenure from a company owned by Roy Moodley, are not true.
The allegations are made in a book by journalist Jacques Pauw.
"I did not receive any payments from private individuals or companies during my tenure as president of the republic of South Africa either than those disclosed or reported to the relevant authorities," Zuma insists.
Before Zuma was done answering questions, DA MPs led by leader Mmusi Maimane, walked out of the chamber.
The DA was frustrated after Maimane asked Zuma to disclose the costs he or his office has incurred in legal costs since 1 May 2009.
"The litigations referred to was not at the instance of the president, but was initiated by the political party. The President has defended it as he is entitled to do so at the state's expense according to the provisions of the State Attorney Act 56 of 1957. This benefit is extended to all who are employed in the service of the state," Zuma explains.
He later elaborated on the question after the DA left the house saying he goes to court to defend himself.
Zuma says the state pays his expenses and does not tell him how much it is spending on his legal costs.
