Amajita's World Cup hopes hanging by a thread

South Africa Under-20 lost 2-0 to Italy in their FIFA Under-20 World Cup Group D clash at the Suwon World Cup Stadium, in Korea Republic.

South Africa were outclassed for much of the encounter, and fashioned little in the way of genuine chances on the Italian goal until the African side had gone two goals down.
It was the second loss in a row for the South Africans who lost 2-1 to Japan in their opening game of the competition on Sunday.
South Africa, after two games, occupy bottom spot in the group without any points and a goal difference on minus-three. Italy, Japan and Uruguay all have three points.
Ricarrdo Orsolini scored from the penalty spot for the Italians, to go into halftime with a 1-0 lead and Andrea Favilli sealed the victory in the 57th minute.
