Bulls tie down Grobbelaar to new long-term contract
Springbok hooker Johan Grobbelaar signs a contract extension with the Bulls, committing his future to Loftus Versfeld until 2030.
The Bulls have secured the services of Johan Grobbelaar for the foreseeable future after the Springbok hooker signed a contract extension keeping him at Loftus Versfeld until 2030.
Grobbelaar rose through the ranks in Pretoria after making his senior debut in 2017, developing into one of the most dynamic hookers in world rugby.
Renowned for his pinpoint set-piece delivery, tireless work rate, and breakdown threat, the Paarl Gymnasium product has amassed over 100 appearances in the blue jersey.
His form at the domestic and international levels earned him a call-up to the Springbok setup, where he continues to feature in the national squad.

Blue Bulls Company chief executive Edgar Rathbone said securing Grobbelaar’s services for the long haul is a major boost to the pack’s stability.
