Wounded Chiefs part ways with Chivaviro ahead of new season

Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs on Wednesday announced the departure of striker Ranga Chivaviro.
The 32-year-old, whose contract is set to expire at the end of June, struggling to help the Amakhosi shine.
The Limpopo-born attacker joined Amakhosi from Marumo Gallants in the 2023/24 season on a two-year deal.
He scored nine goals and provided one assist in 45 official matches.
The Phefeni Boys finished in ninth position in the 2024/25 season following a poor season.
"Kaizer Chiefs will not be extending striker Ranga Chivaviro's contract when it expires at the end of the month," the club said in a statement on Wednesday.
"We thank Ranga for his positive contribution to the team and wish him all the best in his future exploits."
Last month, Chiefs released Njabulo Blom after completing his loan spell with Kaizer Chiefs, Njabulo Blom will return to his parent club, St. Louis City SC, in the United States.
Kaizer Chiefs also parted ways with attacking midfielder, Sabelo Radebe (25) from its development ranks.
