Tight security for presidential inauguration

Thousands of police officers will be deployed in the vicinity of Loftus Versfeld in Tshwane for Saturday’s inauguration of Cyril Ramaphosa as the country's president.
Police Minister Bheki Cele briefed the media at Loftus on Thursday.
"The figures that you see here are 2557 police and these are the people that are starting today.
“These will include South African police members with different units, there are also metros that are here and even the national traffic officers that are here," said Cele.
Although Loftus has a capacity of over 51 000, Cele says police are expecting some 32 000 people to attend.
Those living in the area around the stadium have been requested by the Tshwane metro police to take note of the street closures, which will be come into full effect by Friday.
