Justin's Bum VS Demi's Bikini

When it comes to the comment sections on social media platforms fans and haters alike don't hold back and they had a field day with Justin Bieber and Demi Lovato. 

 

 

Justin Bieber recently shared this picture of his derriere and his fans were OVERLY excited to be graced with the naked snap. Commenting that they love the photo and begged for a front view.

 

 

Demi Lovato who has been 'fat shamed' for year recently posted this photograph wearing a bikini on a hot summers day and the haters came to the comment party as if the free bar just opened. They said that her photograph is disrespectful, she should cover up, some Instragram users went as far as to call her a 'slut' and a 'fat b#*ch'. 

 

 

Now this double standard begs the following questions:

 

Is male nudity more acceptable than female nudity? 

 

Has the fight against female objectification gone so far that we now so intensely reject a women when she posts a semi-naked photo? 

 

Is society starting to objectify men more than women? 

 

Men are stereotyped as sexual predators when presented with a semi-naked photo of a women and therefore women need to cover up to protect themselves and not provoke men?
