Social media star Left Sleeve shares poem for bully victims

A recovering addict and alcoholic, Left Sleeve has taken social media by storm by sharing stories, quotes, and motivational poems with national and international audiences.

Since then, the social media star has moved on to live shows, where he tells his life story through improv poetry.

Left Sleeve has visited the United Arab Emirates cities of Abu Dhabi and Dubai to share his art with audiences. His next international stops will include Italy, Greece, and London.

On Tuesday, 20 May, the motivational speaker joined Breakfast with Martin Bester to share his journey to recovery, how he became a social media sensation, and to provide some much-needed motivation for all South Africans.

Martin Bester also asked Left Sleeve to share a message to the bullies of the world following the arrest of seven girls who allegedly assaulted another girl in Johannesburg.

Left Sleeve says he aims to remind others to practice gratitude and to encourage them to live purpose-driven lives.

He also shared advice for other aspiring artists and motivational speakers: "Believe in your mission and understand that sharing your gifts is the key to retaining them."

According to his official website, Left Sleeve aspires to publish his first book and write for films.
