Singer, businesswoman and media personality Amor Vittone has found love again, and standing by her side is businessman, radio presenter and MC Marius van Biljon, a man whose life was forever changed by profound loss.

The pair's story began when they met at Van Biljon's family restaurant, Captain's Island in Pretoria.

Vittone first performed at his restaurant. She soon after returned to the restaurant for a Women's Day celebration.

When she first noticed him, it wasn't just his looks that caught her attention.

"I thought he was handsome and very calm," she recalls.

So intrigued was Vittone that she mentioned him to her mother. During her performance, she invited him onto the dance floor, a moment many noticed sparked something special.

"Everyone said there was definitely a vibe," she says.

When her mom finally met him, she was instantly charmed too.

"She loved him even more once she met him," Amor laughs.

Like any new relationship, they tested their relationship early on, including travelling together, something they both agree can make or break a couple.

"I carried all her luggage," Van Biljon jokes. "And she's a heavy traveller!"

They both laugh, agreeing that if you can travel well together, moving in together feels like a natural next step.

Their bond is strengthened by shared interests and careers. Both work in the entertainment and media industry, love the same music, and understand each other’s demanding schedules.

"We really get along and complement one another," Amor says. "We fill each other."

Van Biljon's journey to this new chapter has not been an easy one.

He was previously married to Shannon van Biljon, the late Mrs Pretoria Tshwane 2023. Shannon passed away in July 2025 after a brief illness that revealed early-stage kidney failure.

At the time, Van Biljon explained that blood tests showed kidney failure, after which she was admitted to the intensive care unit.

Opening his heart again was not something he took lightly.

"I needed someone who was going to celebrate Shannon's life," he says.

"She was a powerhouse, and she needed another powerhouse woman to honour her memory."

The relationship has not been without public scrutiny, with some questioning how soon Van Biljon moved on after his wife’s death. He addresses this openly.

"I was honest with Amor from the start," he says. "I told her number one in my life is God, and then you."

Amor, known for her independence and strength, speaks highly of her partner.

"Marius is a very strong, grounded and kind-hearted person," she says.

For both of them, facing life's hardest moments, including loss, requires honesty, self-work and openness.

"You first have to deal with it yourself," Van Biljon reflects. "Then you consider how open you are to letting someone new in."

With mutual respect, shared values and deep understanding, Vittone and Van Biljon are building something meaningful, a relationship rooted in love, healing and celebration of both the past and the future.
